Developer Experience Engineer - Snyk
Platform primitives and golden paths that help teams ship safely and consistently.
Software Engineer building Go-first platforms & tooling
15+ years building and operating resilient services, with a focus on automation, observability, and developer experience. I enjoy mentoring engineers, shaping technical direction, and validating ideas through hands-on prototypes and POCs. Previously: Graylog (TORCH), XING, SinnerSchrader.
Currently
At Snyk, I work on developer experience by abstracting low-level infrastructure into easy-to-use primitives - so teams can ship safely and consistently without fighting the underlying platform.
Go, Python, Docker, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm, CircleCI, Datadog
Principles
I build delivery systems that help teams ship faster with confidence - predictable deployments, clean ops, and strong feedback loops.
Standardizing infrastructure through internal developer platforms and service catalogs. Defining paved paths and building advanced deployment layers that make shipping safe and repeatable across hundreds of services.
Automating the software lifecycle through robust CI/CD architecture and infrastructure-as-code. I build custom tooling and CLIs that simplify complex workflows, removing friction and helping teams maintain high velocity without sacrificing stability.
Secrets management, hardened baselines, dependency hygiene.
Projects & Writing
Most platform pain starts the same way: every service grows its own deployment config, Helm values, and operational conventions-until upgrades become “change N repos”, and the fleet slowly drifts into inconsistent behavior. I built an abstracted platform configuration layer that lets teams describe what they run (the intent) and automatically get a safe, production-ready baseline (scaling, safeguards, and observability) applied consistently across services. Behind the scenes, it handles multi-step convergence and environment-aware defaults so first deploys and upgrades stay predictable. The outcome is less per-service maintenance, faster onboarding, and platform rollouts that can be staged or pinned with a clear blast radius.
Built the enterprise reporting engine: scheduled reports with PDF/CSV exports and templated dashboards in the Graylog open source/enterprise stack.
Lightweight agent to centrally manage and configure log collectors across fleets, reducing per-node drift and simplifying rollout of logging configs.
